Among the many rules of gaming is beware the title that sticks a "mon" on the end to make it sound rather familiar. Nexomon: Extinction is yet another monster collecting game, offering a rather slick-looking pixel adventure with some 300 critters to catch, train and evolve.
The game is due for a summer release, thanks to PQube and VEWO Interactive, and has some impressively drawn creatures and a charming looking world. But when a game bills itself as having "an exciting story, quirky characters and a lighthearted companion who doesn't take himself too seriously..." I can already see Switches being flung at the wall.
