House of the Dead comes back to haunt the Switch

 I love the House of the Dead series, from way back in the 90's arcades, to the awesome Dreamcast lightgun and House of the Dead 2, with its cheesy dialogue and terrible outfits. All the way up to the Wii collection and the odd trip to the latest sit-in HotD5 Scarlet Dawn arcade machine, its pure gaming fun. 


The cycle continues with a remake of the original coming to the Switch, bringing those carbon-dated polygons up to something a little more substantial. Developer MegaPixel "promises that the classic arcade rail-shooter receives a whole new entourage and gameplay changes to suit modern gaming standards."

I have no idea why Sega isn't in charge, but it looks like a good example of big brands farming out their legacy IP to smaller studios to see what they can do.
