ScourgeBringer goes limited physical on Switch

Flying Oak Games get all my love for NeuroVoider, and I'll happily snap up a copy of ScourgeBringer which gets a physical Nintendo Switch release thanks to Eastasiasoft. Blending roguelite progression and platforming with hyper-fast combat, ScourgeBringer is a modern pixel-art masterpiece that pushes the boundaries of multiple genres with the developer's signature vicious elegance.

Described as “Dead Cells meets Celeste” due to its tough but fair roguelite structure and free-moving action across hazardous hand-crafted environments, Scourge offers adaptive audio by Joonas Turner (Nuclear Throne, Downwell, Broforce) that underscores the brutal ballet, giving the action a rhythmic quality when skillfully executed.

ScourgeBringer is a complete experience of audio-visual cohesion, boasting 60fps performance in both docked and handheld modes on Nintendo Switch. Preorders open on the 5th November at Playasia, 10:00am ET / 3:00pm UK, with the game, manual, soundtrack CD and numbered certificate in a collector’s box for US$34.99 + shipping (only 2,000 units). Standard copies will also be available at US$29.99.
