No one really cares about the grown-up games argument anymore right? That doesn't stop some folk making this a big deal, and ignoring the fact the original Mortal Kombat got a SNES release. But the latest adventure from Netherealm and Warner Bros in pummeling tale will land its punches, kicks and killer moves on the Switch in April 2019.
The news was announced at The Game Awards, via a meaty render showing off the same old foes in the same old battles with a rap-battle soundtrack. Since the most recent Mortal Kombat I tried (on the Vita) is just as fun today as it was six years ago, expect eminent playability and new twists in the ongoing saga of their endless skirmishes.
Hopefully the grand unveil in January, won't be dragged out by pointless slow-drip character reveals. And Netherrealm will keep up with the ridiculous fatalities, but basically, just give us the game we love with some new stuff.
