Selling 40,000 units a week in Japan, and presumably healthy numbers in the west, Nintendo's latest figures show the Switch soaring toward 23 million units sold. Nintendo managed to sell a hefty 5 million in the last six months (the slow time of year), and 42 million games, and with a frantic Christmas to come.
The GameCube managed around 21.75 million in its short life, but Switch will have some way to go to hit the Wii's 101 million sales. A new revision next year should help kick sales again, and what are the odds that Nintendo can jolt the hardware a little to make it easier to get more ports over.
Whatever the sales, none of those Switch systems look quite as batshit as mine!
