Digimon Survive battling Pokemon on the Switch

After the success of Digimon Cyber Sleuth and Hacker's Memory on the PS Vita and PS4, the question is where would the Bandai series go next? The answer is Digimon Survive coming to the Switch, allowing for more monster collecting adventures.

Japanese magazines are revealing news this week with a livestream on the 29th in Japan to spread the news. So far it looks like a strategy RPG with grid-style tactical battles, puzzle solving adventure elements using a mix of 3D and 2D graphics. A new hero will take up the adventure with a trusty Agumon at his/her side.

With Pokemon raking in the cash for Niantic, will Bandai manage to dent the loyalty of Nintendo fans, who haven't seen a Digimon game since the Story/World series in various DS incarnations? The game is due out in 2019, no idea about a western release, although given the success of the recent Vita games, it should happen.
