Back in the day, brawler developers often tried to make their games look realistic, I guess as part of the Mortal Kombat trend. But games like PitFighter and Kasumi Ninja just looked horrible. At first glance, there's a similar not-quite-right feel to Team 17's Raging Justice, a pseudo-3D scrolling brawler that lets players take all kinds of everyday objects like a ride-on mower and use them in battle.
As cops you can bring fugitives to justice, or mash them into the pavement. The game will be out later this year with online co-op and leaderboards. If this were truly the 8-bit or 16-bit era, all that's missing is a Sly, Arnie or similar action hero movie tie-in to loosely cling to.
